• We are a family run business based in Scotland and have been quietly researching and  developing grounding technology for the last 7 years. We then introduced the SGS 1 in a soft launch during 2017. The SGS 1 is the smaller, more affordable unit, but one that punches well above its weight, rewarding the listener with a sense of rightness and musical flow, while uncovering numerous additional dimensions for the listener and ultimately delivering a deeper clarity of sound. Expressions such as "lowering the background noise", "broadening the soundstage" and "more nuances and timbres of the instruments" are just some of the testimonials from SGS customers
  • A few years later, we at SGS have further developed our portfolio and made some very worthwhile improvements. We have brought the latest grounding technology to market. Each model has its own blend of carefully selected materials (Cardas and Mundorf etc. and proprietary main cores lamicores), with only the best quality selected for each model.
  • The SGS team focuses on the use of natural, fully recyclable materials. It is the combination of these unique qualities that makes up both the performance and aesthetics of each device.
  • At the heart of each model is the main core and lamicores ranging from less than 1 kg ( SGS 1 ) to over 8 kg ( Pinnacle, where up to 4 are used ) Attached to the cores are various precious metals  a particular mass, and depending on which model we increase the amount of copper, silver, and other particular types, now with a very laborious three part process proprietary shielding.
  • Each of our units, from the standard SGS 1 to the Pinnacle range, works regardless of the size or weight of the ancillary connected to and becomes increasingly effective from model to model.
  • Individuality, quality, authenticity and extreme musicality is the mantra we use in our work. Special designs in different types of wood and finishes can be requested.
  • These devices are not voodoo or snake oil. It has taken hours and years of research and development to bring to market devices that are as necessary as any other ancillary in a system. These grounding devices remove the "unwanted noise" from all systems very efficiently and much faster than our previous iterations.
  • The SGS 1 Signature, Zebrano Signature Plus and Pinnacle range all come with bespoke cables, from the Braeriach 2.5mm to the Ben Macdui 3mm and Ben Nevis 5mm, all referencing Scotland's highest mountains. (Longer lengths with other connectors can be made to order). As we move from the Signature to the Zebrano series and in particular the Pinnacle series, the comparison can only be likened to comparing speaker brands, for example moving from a larger bookshelf model to a floorstanding speaker, whereas the Pinnacle unit is the flagship of the larger S.O.T.A. brands. Each model is a significant step forward and just gives you so much more, a deeper clarity of sound, layer upon layer of dimensions that were not heard before, it really is “hearing is believing, “ Even a suspension of disbelief.  What is most striking is how much they captivate the listener to experience new nuances that were previously buried. Many of our clients have said that they have rediscovered their favourite albums as if they were hearing them for the first time, Like they were hearing a completely new system.
  • After receiving your first SGS model, we recommend that you unpack the unit and place it close to your equipment (200 mm or more). Start by connecting the supplied cable to a free RCA connector on your DAC/streamer etc. via the pure copper lab clamp. This would be a connection to signal ground. After a few hours or days of listening to allow the unit to acclimatise, you can disconnect the spare RCA connector and attempt to connect to the enclosure of the chosen auxiliary device, either directly via the lab clamp or by slightly loosening an enclosure screw so that you can pass the clamp over the head of the screw. The selected heavy-duty copper lab clamp will then ensure the correct choice, either the signal or the chassis ground depending on the system.
  • The SGS offers authenticity both in workmanship and, more importantly, in your listening experience.
  • - All our products are usually made to order but we may have some in stock, please contact us by email for updates, order times vary depending on workload so please enquire for an accurate timescale.
  • - We offer full support and assistance in setting up our devices as we have infinite knowledge of each product and can advise by email, phone etc.
  • FUNCTION:
  • Achieve better sound quality by improving the grounding of the audio signal and the mains grounding of audio equipment. The SGS can deeply absorb unwanted noise and thus lower the background noise. Noise such as electrostatic discharge ( ESD ), radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI), as well as high frequency noise, releasing hidden audio details that were previously obscured by the noise.
  • SOUND IMPROVEMENT:
  • Overall dynamic and musical expression with much greater flow, four dimensional soundstage,
  • Much lower noise floor providing tonal density, smoothness, instrument separation, space hierarchy, clarity and transparency, in particular added timbre.
